LA CAÑADA FLINTRIDGE — It may have been 11 on 11 on the field, but the Flintridge Prep boys’ soccer team was significantly outnumbered on Tuesday in its La Cañada Tournament pool-play match against Canyon. With four defensive starters sidelined by injuries or illness, the Rebels had little to nothing to work with in the way of a bench, while the Cowboys numbered 28 strong. Over the course of the match, the disparity took its toll, as the winded Rebels were downed, 5-0. “Missing three or four starters for our school is big,” said Prep Coach Esteban Chavez, whose team fell to 3-5-1 with the loss.
