Crescenta Valley High School sophomore Michael C. Boukidis of La Crescenta was awarded the rank of Eagle Scout, the highest honor in the Boy Scouts of America. A member of Troop 118 in Glendale, Michael is the son of Constantine and Eugenia Boukidis of La Crescenta. His younger brother, Evan, is a Webelos I Scout in Cub Scout Pack 131 in Glendale. A Scout since the first grade, 15-year-old Michael received his Arrow of Light Award, the Cub Scouts' highest achievement, from Pack 131 before bridging to Boy Scouts.

Michael Worley was born to Terry and Michelle Worley on July 18, 1988. He was born in Provo, Utah, but has also lived in Fremont, Calif.; Redmond, Wash. He later moved to Pleasanton, before moving to La CaƱada in early 2001. He has five wonderful siblings, Caitlin, Jason, Alex, Jenna and Eric. Michael attended high school at Clark Magnet High School, where did his Eagle Project. He studied math, with a special emphasis, going from algebra to calculus, in four years.

Katherine E. Trenholme, daughter of Lindsey and Richard Trenholme of Tujunga, has enrolled at Claremont McKenna College and is a member of the class of 2004. Stephen Keyes, son of Susan and Gary Keyes, received the rank of Eagle Scout. For his Eagle Scout project, Keyes refinished 54 memorial benches at Descanso Gardens. The benches required light sanding and a sealer coat. Keyes is a senior at Crescenta Valley High School. He has also earned a Bronze Palm award for his continuing membership in Scouting and five additional merit badges after earning the rank of Eagle Scout.

David Tyler Kingston of Troop 395 received the rank of Eagle Scout. He is the son of Scott and Sally Kingston and attends La Salle High School in Pasadena. For his Eagle Scout project, he alerted the city of La Canada Flintridge of the dangers of drugs during Drug Awareness Week. He worked with the Chamber of Commerce to collect more than 7,000 pencils with a drug awareness logo on them, packaged them and distributed them to all the public and private schools in the city.

Christopher Oliver, son of Sue and Dennis Oliver of La Crescenta, has received the rank of Eagle Scout. For his Eagle Scout project, Oliver removed climbing holds on climbing walls at Wilson Middle School. He cleaned the holds, repainted the walls and replaced the holds. As a member of Troop 176, he has earned the Order of the Arrow, served as senior patrol leader for two terms and as troop guide. He also attended the National Scout Jamboree in Virginia.

David Lewis Rosen, the son of Norman and Elisa Rosen of Tujunga, received the rank of Eagle Scout. The former Glendale resident is a member of Troop 394 sponsored by the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in Sunland. He has completed 24 merit badges. For his Eagle Scout project, he coordinated a landscaping project at Tierra Del Sol, a private school for the mentally challenged. The project consisted of planting ground cover to prevent erosion and beautification of the grounds.

Adam Michael Sheffield, the son of Matt and Linda Sheffield of Glendale, received the rank of Eagle Scout. He is a member of Troop 106 of the Verdugo Hills Council Boy Scouts of America. For his Eagle Scout project, Adam did a blood drive for the American Red Cross. He collected 46 pints of blood. Adam received several scouting honors, including On My Honor, Mile Swim and the 50-miler Afoot/Afloat. Adam was home-schooled until he passed the California Proficiency Exam at 16 and entered Glendale Community College.
