Buck Wargo CITY HALL -- The final draft of an environmental report on the campus expansion of The Walt Disney Co. was released Monday by the city. The report will be used as a tool by the Glendale Redevelopment Agency in analyzing the project, which proposes to expand the campus from 2.4 million to 5.9 million square feet. It contains mitigation measures that the developer would have to follow to deal with traffic and other concerns. The Redevelopment Agency will meet Nov. 8 to certify the report and consider business terms of the project.

Buck Wargo CITY HALL -- Tonight is the time for residents' questions and comments on the proposed Oakmont View V development. The Glendale City Council will meet at the Glendale Civic Auditorium at 5 p.m. to kick off the formal process for the 572-home subdivision. After hearing a brief presentation of an environmental study prepared by Rincon Consultants, residents will finally get their say. Residents' comments will be limited to five minutes each.

GREENWICH ROAD REPAIR The City Council is expected to authorize a $125,000 contract with Remedial Civil Constructors Inc. to repair a portion of Greenwich Road, as well as $32,000 for project contingencies. City officials determined the company to be the lowest responsible bidder for the project. They are also expected to authorize an additional payment of $25,000 to Geotechnologies Inc. for compaction testing, excavation and construction observation related to the project.

Sandra Kraisirideja, Enjoy! BURBANK -- Joseph DiSante is a successful actor, but what he really wants to do is write. Now his dream is finally coming true. A screenplay DiSante wrote with his writing partner, Michael Zungolo of Philadelphia, Pa., won first place at the seventh annual Monterey County Film Commission Screenwriting Contest. The winners were announced May 6. Entries were judged by producer Michael Besman, screenwriter Graham Yost ("Speed")

Storyteller to finish his tale Crescenta Valley storyteller Charles Bausback told the story of his family?s cross-country trip to La Crescenta at the June meeting of the Historical Society, but he left off with a cliff-hanger, stating that what they found when they got here would be the subject of his next talk. So Bausback is returning to finish the story. Attend the presentation at 7 p.m. today at the La Crescenta Church of Religious Science at the intersection of Dunsmore Avenue and Santa Carlotta Street.

Buck Wargo CITY HALL -- Glendale is coming under fire from homeowner activists who say the city is moving too fast to process development plans on The Walt Disney Co. campus expansion and renovation. The concerns are the result of a timetable announced by the city in which a final draft of an environmental report evaluating the project could be printed next week. The Planning Commission is expected to review the document Oct. 16, and the Glendale Redevelopment Agency could vote to certify it by Oct. 31, less than two months after the Sept.
