Anderson The following incidents were taken from police reports. 6700 San Fernando Road: Three men were arrested Saturday after police found methamphetamine and guns in the hotel room they were staying in, police said. A 29-year-old Canoga Park man and a 21-year-old Glendale man were arrested on suspicion of possession of synthetic drugs, police said. Another 20-year-old Glendale man was arrested on suspicion of possession of synthetic drugs and two guns, police said.

Marianne Love GLENDALE -- The transfer of Metropolitan Transportation Line 177 to La Canada Flintridge and Glendale went off without a hitch. Now called Route 3, bus service takes riders from Jet Propulsion Laboratory in La Canada Flintridge to the Glendale Galleria as part of the Glendale Beeline system. Buses run every 30 minutes between the Glendale Galleria and JPL. Sections between the mall and Glendale Community College will offer service every 15 minutes.

Alecia Foster GLENDALE GALLERIA -- A Glendale boy was one of five teenagers chosen to appear in commercials for a new retail store in the Glendale Galleria. Chris Rodriquez, 15, was picked for his break-dancing talents during an open casting call for a commercial marketing "The Zone," a new store geared toward teen shoppers. At the casting call, which was held April 15 in the Galleria's Center Court, 15 individual and group performers 10 to 18 who were asked to show off their unusual talents.

Kim DOWNTOWN -- Not all talented teen singers might have the chance to be the next Britney Spears, but with the help of the Glendale Galleria, they might at least have the chance to meet the pop superstar. The winner of a karaoke contest at The Zone in the Galleria today will attend the Los Angeles "Crossroads" film premiere and mingle with Hollywood stars. Contestants must register between noon and 2 p.m. at The Zone, on the third floor near Nordstrom, for the contest.

Gary Moskowitz Aspiring musicians could get their shot at a moment of fame in an upcoming music contest designed to highlight the talents of local youth. The Glendale Galleria is looking for rock bands with members 19 and younger to participate in its Battle of the Bands competition Aug. 2 at the Galleria. To enter the competition, rock bands are asked to submit a video or audio tape of their band, as well as a photograph of the band. The deadline to submit the materials is Friday.

The following information was taken from police reports: 1300 block of East Colorado Avenue: A 26-year-old Burbank man was arrested Wednesday during a traffic stop on suspicion of possessing methamphetamine. 1400 block of Stanley Avenue: A 35-year-old Glendale woman was arrested Tuesday on suspicion of possessing methamphetamine. 1000 block of East California Avenue: A 37-year-old Glendale man was arrested Tuesday on suspicion of driving under the influence.

Karen S. Kim DOWNTOWN -- Those hoping to get a jump on their holiday shopping Friday at the Glendale Galleria can expect live piano music to help shift them into the spirit of the season. Pianist Stephen Jacob will perform periodically between 11 a.m and 5 p.m., entertaining passersby with holiday classics. Jacob is a classical and jazz pianist who has composed and performed solo and ensemble music for 14 recordings, including music for relaxation, meditation and children.
