The following incidents were taken from reports at the Glendale Police Station: 700 block of South Central Avenue: A 38-year-old Inglewood man was arrested Monday on suspicion of possession of a methamphetamine smoking pipe. 200 block of South Central Avenue: A 37-year-old security guard for the Glendale Galleria reported Monday that a woman said two men tried to steal her purse. 1800 block of Dana Street: A 54-year-old employee of Pacific Coast AC and Electric reported Monday that the company's 1991 GMC truck was broken into and its stereo stolen.

The following reports were taken from the Glendale Police Department. 141 N. Glendale Ave.: A 26-year-old Long Beach man was arrested Monday on suspicion of possessing marijuana. E. Broadway and Wilson Avenue: A Glendale man reported Monday that someone broke into his 1988 Acura and stole $7 in change from his ashtray. Pacific Avenue and Vine Street: An 18-year-old Los Angeles man was arrested Monday on suspicion of possessing marijuana. 330 N. Brand Blvd.

Six Glendale teachers were among 220 Southern California teachers honored Thursday at a special beach party hosted by Gladstone's Malibu. Sam Levering, Jim Smiley and Scott Sund from Crescenta Valley High School and Carol Driffill, Mary Hazlett and Cathi Lander from Glendale High School were all honored at the eighth annual party hosted by Gladstone's Malibu. Students nominate teachers they think should be honored, said Christine Lloyd, a spokeswoman for Gladstone's.

GLENDALE — Police say they plan to pursue several fraud-related charges for a 38-year-old parolee who was arrested Saturday after officers found check-making supplies and equipment in his car. Officers approached Joseph Jarmen on Saturday after seeing him working on a laptop while parked outside the Target on Colorado Street, Glendale Police Sgt. Tom Lorenz said. Jarmen was on parole for weapons violations and was believed to be armed and dangerous, Lorenz said. He told the Glendale officers that parole authorities had been searching for him since he failed to check in, Det. Jason Ross said.

Lowell Avenue and Honolulu Avenue: A 39-year-old man was arrested Thursday on suspicion of possessing methamphetamine and possessing marijuana in a car. 100 block of North Isabel Street: A 28-year-old man was arrested Thursday on suspicion of possessing a dangerous weapon. The man had a metal hatchet/knife, a police report stated. 200 block of North Glendale Avenue: A 41-year-old man was arrested Thursday on suspicion of threatening a peace officer.
