Alecia Foster The following incidents were taken from police reports. 4000 block of San Fernando Road: Three packs of cigarettes were reported stolen Tuesday from the Old Green Mill Liquor store. 1000 block of South Brand Boulevard: A woman reported Tuesday that her purse was stolen from her car. 800 block of South Central Avenue: A cell phone was reported stolen Monday. San Fernando Road and Western Avenue: A 21-year-old man was arrested Tuesday on suspicion of possessing marijuana.

Police seeking help identifying suspect Police are seeking the public’s help in identifying a woman they believe is responsible for a rash of burglaries in the foothill area. The woman — described as a Latina, 5-foot-3, 160 pounds, 25 to 30 years old, with long dark hair — was apparently caught on a surveillance video at 4:51 a.m. on Friday smashing the front glass door of a Valero gas station on the 2600 block of Foothill Boulevard to gain access, Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Det. Rodger Burt said.

Tim Willert CITY HALL -- A proposed ordinance amendment under consideration by the City Council would give Glendale more control over the sale and consumption of alcoholic beverages and where new establishments spring up. That's what city officials on Thursday told a small gathering of restaurant, night club and liquor store owners. The proposed amendment would require a conditional-use permit for any new establishment, for the sale of packaged liquor except at supermarkets, and would establish a permit process for drinking alcohol in the downtown area.

But it isn't hard for him to imagine the pastel-colored Cadillac convertibles, Studebaker station wagons, shiny Chevy Impalas and roaring Chevelles that the car wash must have seen over the years. It has been a Glendale establishment since 1949.

SOUTHWEST GLENDALE — A Glendale man is scheduled to appear in court today on charges of kidnapping and attempted murder after a weekend clash that sent his brother-in-law to the hospital with multiple stab wounds. Nelson Salguero, 26, turned himself in to police on Sunday morning regarding an alleged stabbing at about 1 p.m. Saturday at an apartment complex on the 400 block of Riverdale Avenue, Glendale Police Sgt. Tom Lorenz said. Salguero stabbed his brother-in-law with a knife during a domestic dispute, Lorenz said.

Olive Street in La Crescenta, an iPod was stolen from an unlocked vehicle; 2500 block overnight, May 16-17. Olive Avenue in La Crescenta, a global positioning system and cash were stolen from an unlocked vehicle; 2200 block overnight, May 14-15. Montrose Avenue in Montrose, the trunk of a vehicle was damaged by a sharp object that scratched the paint; 2300 block overnight, May 14-15.
