The following information was taken from police reports: 700 block of South Columbus Avenue: A Glendale man reported Thursday that his 1997 Honda Accord was stolen. Wilson Avenue and Kenwood Street: A Glendale girl reported Thursday that a fellow student repeatedly grabbed her. 227 N. Glendale Ave.: A 25-year-old Glendale woman was arrested Thursday on suspicion of trying to steal $930 worth of clothes and jewelry from Nordstrom Rack. 3645 Foothill Blvd.

Judy Seckler GLENDALE GALLERIA -- Inga Arutyunyan was plunged into a shopper's paradise Friday morning at Nordstrom Rack's grand-opening festivities. Arutyunyan's entry card was chosen from among 500 excited customers for the new store's 90-second "Race for Values" shopping spree. The contest allowed the winner to grab up to $2,000 worth of merchandise in 90 seconds. "Watch me! I'm going to win this," Arutyunyan joked to her sister, Kristina, as they waited on line.

Glendale Ave.: A 24-year-old Glendale man was arrested Wednesday on suspicion of stealing a watch from Nordstrom Rack. 2900 block of Country Club Drive: A woman told police someone stole her Honda Accord overnight Tuesday.

SAFE AND SANE What's the best way to get a kid's attention? Have fun. And that is just what happened June 17 at the Kids Rally Day at United Community Church. The event was more carnival than anything else. But mixed in with the inflatable fun house, games and puppet shows, were lessons about character, ethics and safety. Whether clowns or cops, everyone involved in the event helped look out for the welfare of the 200 youngsters on hand. RACKING UP A WARDROBE Glendale shoppers may be glad to see Nordstrom Rack open its doors here, but none happier than Lilly Inga Arutyunyan.

NORTHEAST GLENDALE — Managers of the Glendale Fashion Center are trying to determine the cause of a crack in the concrete parkway in front of Petco, which sits above an underground parking lot. City traffic barricades were put up Tuesday blocking a portion of the driveway in front of the pet store and forcing motorists down to the other side of the lot to avoid the blockade, said Rose Barrantes, senior property manager for the center’s management...

The following incidents were taken from reports at the Glendale Police Station: West Broadway and Eagledale Avenue: A 26-year-old Glendale man was arrested Monday for allegedly battering a 60-year-old Eagle Rock man and for resisting arrest. 900 block of West Glenoaks Avenue: A 45-year-old Glendale woman was arrested Monday on suspicion of possession of narcotic paraphernalia. 200 block of Garfield Avenue: A 34-year-old Glendale woman reported Monday that her silver Lexus G30 had been vandalized.
