It has been an interesting few weeks in Glendale. Our fair city has seen more than its fair share of mayhem recently, leading to a few tough decisions about coverage. Before I get into this, however, I want to announce what I’m calling a “Meet the Editors” event. This Wednesday, Glendale News-Press editors and reporters will be at Tavern on the Brand, 208 N. Brand Blvd., to meet you and answer your questions. I’ll be there from 6 to 8 p.m., as will City Editor Jason Wells and anyone else I can persuade to come.

Paul M. Anderson Well over an hour after John Dean finished speaking and started taking questions from the audience Wednesday the question finally surfaced. Who is Deep Throat? As a central figure in the Watergate scandal that brought down the Nixon Administration, Dean himself is obsessed with the question of who supplied Washington Post reporters Bob Woodward and Carl Bernstein with so much invaluable information. He's even written a book on the subject.
