The American Youth Soccer Organization will schedule a goal-a-thon to help relief efforts for victims of Hurricane Katrina. "Each team is going to try and get sponsors to pledge an amount," said Chris Wryder, webmaster for AYSO's 88th region, which includes La Crescenta, Montrose and northern Glendale. Wryder is spear-heading the fundraising campaign. He said he has attempted to start other fund-raisers in the past to no avail.
