The world of professional sports is full of rivalries ? Yankees vs. Red Sox; Lakers vs. Celtics; Barcelona vs. Real Madrid ? but few have the history and devotion to match the Dodgers vs. the Giants, one of baseball?s oldest grudges. To celebrate this historic rivalry, the Baseball Reliquary is presenting a special exhibition at the Burbank Central Library in Burbank. ?Love to Hate: The Dodgers-Giants Rivalry? represents more than 120 years of baseball history through the lens of these two great teams.

The Flyers Soccer Club has announced that it will conduct open practices and tryouts for boys and girls ages 8 to 18 through May. Approximately 25 teams and 400 families are involved with the Flyers Soccer Club which has been providing one of the highest levels of professional soccer training in the area for the past 20 years. Each fall, Flyers teams play in the prestigious Coast Soccer League and throughout the year participate in Southern California's premier soccer tournaments.

With the 405 Freeway set to be closed this weekend, transportation officials have identified several "hot spots" that are expected to be hit hard by traffic gridlock. The Times' Dan Wiekel identified some of them: CANYON ROADS: It's the mostly two-lane, north-south canyon roads connecting the San Fernando Valley and western Los Angeles County. Those roads, which traverse affluent neighborhoods such as Bel-Air, can bog down in normal weekend traffic. They include Sepulveda Boulevard, Beverly Glen Boulevard, Benedict Canyon Drive, Coldwater Canyon Drive, Laurel Canyon Boulevard and Cahuenga Boulevard.
