Ryan Carter SOUTHWEST GLENDALE -- A 28-year-old Los Angeles man was shot multiple times early Sunday in a melee at Club Lush. Paramedics found him shot in the torso and the leg, and he was taken to County-USC Medical Center, though the injuries did not appear to be life-threatening, Glendale Police Sgt. Alan Frazier said. The man's condition was stable when paramedics arrived at the hospital, officials said. On Sunday, police did not know whether the shooting occurred inside or outside of the club, 617 S. Brand Blvd.

  Foothill (210) Freeway eastbound in Glendale, according to the CHP, an unidentified driver made an unsafe turning maneuver, causing two vehicles to overturn. The drivers, a 37-year-old Los Angeles man and 45-year-old Upland man, along with two passengers, reported injuries. The accident is considered a felony hit and run and is under investigation. It occurred 500 feet west of Pennsylvania Avenue at 10 p.m. on Monday. Foothill Boulevard and Lowell Avenue in Glendale, a 21-year-old La Cañada man was cited for suspicion of possession of a narcotic and for driving with a suspended California driver’s license at 1:34 p.m. on Monday.

Sunset Tan is nowhere near Sunset Boulevard in Los Angeles. The salon is in Glendale, at 1700 W. Glenoaks Blvd., and opened in April, but had its grand opening earlier this month. And although the salon boasts a high-end name, the prices at the salon are by no means “high end,” according to co-owner Kozet Luciano. The salon features state-of-the-art beds, complete with input jacks to plug in your iPod. The salon features beds for all sorts of tanners, from the avid tanner down to the occasional tanner, Luciano said.

KCET starts working out of The Pointe in Burbank this week, sharing the uber-environmentally sustainable building with other industry tenants, including DC Comics and  Warner Bros. The move comes after the independent television station 's break from Public Broadcasting Station in January 2011. KCET's landmark lot on Sunset Boulevard was sold to Church of Scientology last year. “We will always remember our rich history of pioneering productions and special events on the Sunset lot, but we're eager to begin a different chapter and offer viewers more exciting stories about issues that affect their communities,” Al Jerome, president and chief executive officer for KCET, said in a statement Friday.

A grand jury indictment was unsealed Monday against a former Armenian army soldier accused of killing four people. Those killed included the family of a woman he allegedly was obsessed with and a prostitute on Sunset Boulevard. Alberd Tersargyan, 65, was arrested last year shortly after the body of Karine Hakobyan was discovered by her teenage daughter slumped in the front seat of her car in Little Armenia. She had been shot at close range. Fifteen months earlier, the same daughter had come home to the family's apartment to find the bodies of her father, Khachik Safaryan , and her younger sister .  The four-count murder indictment returned Aug. 26 claims the daughter witnessed her father's killing.

Michael Jackson, who had been rehearsing in a nondescript building near Bob Hope Airport in preparation for an upcoming sold-out 50-show tour, was pronounced dead Thursday afternoon. The singer arrived at Ronald Reagan UCLA Medical Center in a deep coma, city and law enforcement sources told the Los Angeles Times. Paramedics were called to a home in the 100 block of Carolwood Drive off Sunset Boulevard and rushed Jackson to Ronald Reagan UCLA Medical Center. News of his death comes as Jackson, 50, was attempting a comeback after receiving the backing of two billionaires.

Judy Seckler DOWNTOWN -- His Holiness Aram I, the spiritual leader of the Armenian Church, is halfway through his four-day Southland tour to celebrate the coming of the 1,700-year anniversary of the founding of the Armenian Apostolic Church. At 7:30 p.m. Thursday, the pontiff and the Armenian community attended an evening of Armenian cultural performances at The Alex Theatre. Performers included the Lousavorich Choir, the Hamazkayin Ani Dance Ensemble, a vocal duet by Arpine and Elizabeth Pehlivanian and poetry recited by Jack Hagopian.

Digital advertising signs will light up downtown Glendale for the first time now that the City Council has approved a zoning amendment to let the Americana at Brand and Glendale Galleria use the high-tech displays. The council voted 5-0 last week to approve an amendment of the city's signage zoning overlay for major commercial developments. The overlay zone applies to developments with at least 1 million square feet of commercial or retail space, which currently covers only the Americana and Galleria.
