Suspicion

The following were taken from daily booking reports from the Glendale Police Department. 800 block of South Glendale Avenue A 27-year-old man was arrested Aug. 11 on suspicion of grand theft of access cards and driving under the influence of drugs or alcohol. Harvey Drive and Ventura (134) Freeway A 40-year-old man was arrested Aug. 12 on suspicion of possessing methamphetamine. 300 block of East Cedar Avenue A 25-year-old man was arrested Aug. 12 on suspicion of identity theft and impersonating someone else.

The following were taken from daily booking reports from the Glendale Police Department. South Adams Street and Green Street A 48-year-old man was arrested July 6 on suspicion of possessing a controlled substance and for outstanding warrants for driving under the influence of drugs or alcohol and driving with a suspended license. 400 block of Pioneer Drive A 22-year-old man was arrested July 6 on suspicion of possessing a controlled substance, being under the influence of a controlled substance and driving under the influence of drugs or alcohol.

A 70-year-old man remains in custody after his wife was pronounced dead Tuesday at their home on the 800 block of North Valley Street. Joseph Robert Brancato was arrested at 3:20 a.m. Tuesday, about an hour after his wife, 64-year-old Marie Brancato, was pronounced dead at their home, and is being held in lieu of $1-million bail, according to the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department. The cause of her death remained under investigation Wednesday, Los Angeles County coroner Ed Winter said.

North Kenilworth Avenue and Patterson Avenue A 33-year-old man was arrested Dec. 5 on suspicion of grand theft of access cards, possessing methamphetamine and drug paraphernalia. East Chevy Chase Drive and Mariposa Street A 33-year-old woman was arrested Dec. 5 on suspicion of driving under the influence of drugs or alcohol and hit-and-run. 200 block of Irving Avenue A 37-year-old man was arrested Dec. 5 on suspicion of making threats.
