A registered sex offender from Glendora is accused of making harassing and obscene telephone calls to a Covina business associated with children, police said. Paul J. Cricks, 48, was arrested at a West Covina motel Wednesday, Covina police said. Police said they were summoned to the business, which they did not identify, after the owner received several graphic and sexual telephone calls. The caller's phone number was blocked at the time. Covina police said they put a trace on the business' phone, allowing them to capture the telephone number the next time a call came in. Detectives said they tracked the number to Cricks, whom a state website lists as a sex offender registered with Glendora Police Department.
