NORTHEAST GLENDALE — One monster inning can turn the page on three hapless ones in a hurry. That was the case for the Crescenta Valley Senior All-Stars, the District 16 representative, in their 13-3 win over District 40 representative Pasadena American Little League in the Section 2 Tournament on Sunday at Scholl Canyon Ball Fields. After struggling to make any inroads against the early three-run league that Pasadena American built in the top of the first inning, Crescenta Valley’s lineup finally broke through in the bottom of the fourth, scoring all 13 of its runs and bringing an abrupt end to the contest within the frame via the 10-run mercy rule.
