The Flyers Soccer Club has announced that it will conduct open practices and tryouts for boys and girls ages 8 to 18 through May. Approximately 25 teams and 400 families are involved with the Flyers Soccer Club which has been providing one of the highest levels of professional soccer training in the area for the past 20 years. Each fall, Flyers teams play in the prestigious Coast Soccer League and throughout the year participate in Southern California's premier soccer tournaments.

The Los Angeles Futbol Club (formerly the San Gabriel Valley Flyers Soccer Club) is developing additional boys and girls teams at the under 17-19 age levels for players whose dates of birth are after Aug.1,1988. All interested high school age players are encouraged to come out to trainings/tryouts being held on two consecutive Monday evenings, April 24 and May 1, from 8-10 p.m. at the La Cañada High Varsity Field. The Crescenta Sports Association will stage its Fall Ball registration on Aug. 5 from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Glendale Sports Complex. Signups for baseball will be for youth ages 7-14 as of April 30, 2007 and softball registration will be for youngsters ages 9-16 as of Jan. 1, 2007. The cost to sign up for either baseball or softball is $100 per person. The CSA will conduct baseball tryouts, depending on age, on Aug. 19 and 26 from 8 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. each day at Two Strike Park.

La Crescenta Babe Ruth tryouts set La Crescenta Babe Ruth will conduct skill assessments from 4:30-6:30 p.m. Saturday at Dunsmore Park. LCBR is a Babe Ruth Baseball League for players ages 13-15 as of April 30, 2010. Registration for advanced skilled 12-year-olds will be accepted. Crescenta Sports Association will continue registration and hold tryouts next weekend for the upcoming fall season. CSA, now in its 10th year of operation, will offer baseball for ages 7-17 and softball for ages 9-16. Baseball will be provided in five age divisions, 7/8, 9/10, 11/12, 13/14 and 15/17 while softball will be offered in two divisions, 9-to-12-years-old and 16-and-younger. Tryouts for the 13/14 division will be held at Scholl Canyon Park at 9 a.m. on Saturday, Sept.
