June S. Hissey Beloved mother of Cathy and Jim Hissey, grandmother of Rachel, Adam and Jacob Hissey, and sister of Herbert Hansen, passed away peacefully at Glendale Adventist Hospital on July 19, 2012. She was 88. A Memorial service in celebration of her life will be held on July 21, 2012, at 2:00 p.m. at the First United Methodist Church of Glendale, located at 134 N. Kenwood (at the corner of Broadway), in Glendale. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in her memory to Project Angel Food, 922 Vine Street, Los Angeles, CA 90038.

Alex Coolman SOUTHWEST GLENDALE -- A dilapidated row of apartment buildings across the street from the Edison-Pacific project will be razed and turned into low-income housing after its residents move out this summer, city officials said. The buildings -- one ramshackle pink house at the corner of Pacific Avenue and Vine Street and several small cottages next to the house on Pacific Avenue -- sit on property the city acquired in May from former owner Jamal Gharib.

The following items were taken from reports filed at the Glendale Police Department: ? ? Pacific Avenue and San Fernando Road: A 47-year-old West Covina man was arrested Thursday on suspicion of driving under the influence. ? Columbus Avenue and Vine Street: A 20-year-old Glendale man was arrested Dec. 14 during a pedestrian stop on suspicion of possession of marijuana. ? Cypress Street and Orange Street: A 23-year-old Hollywood man was arrested Tuesday on suspicion of providing false vehicle registration.

A Glendale man was stabbed in the back by his twin brother Monday in the middle of a local street. The incident took place in the early morning hours in the 300 block of Vine Street. After a fight with his brother, Carlos Enrique Rodriquez, at a nearby party, Jose Antonio Rodriquez came home and found his brother smashing his car windows with a hammer. Carlos then chased down Jose in the street and stabbed him in the back with a kitchen knife, police reports said.

A pharmacy's delivery driver reported Wednesday he was assaulted by a man who fled after striking the delivery van with his car. The 19-year-old driver reported that he yielded for a stop sign at Columbus Avenue and Vine Street when he was rear-ended, according to police reports. The driver got out of the pharmacy's van and walked to the man's window, asking him to pull over to the curb so they could exchange information. The man allegedly agreed, then reached out for his Club, a steering wheel security device, and struck the deliveryman in the chest, police said.

Buck Wargo CITY HALL - The cost of the Edison-Pacific school and park relocation project has risen $2 million. The City Council and Glendale Unified School District Board of Education will meet at 1:30 p.m. today in the council chambers of City Hall to get an update on the project and consider signing off on any changes. A report to be reviewed today by both boards said the Edison-Pacific project will increase from $35.2 million to $37.2 million.

Lowell Avenue and Honolulu Avenue: A 39-year-old man was arrested Thursday on suspicion of possessing methamphetamine and possessing marijuana in a car. 100 block of North Isabel Street: A 28-year-old man was arrested Thursday on suspicion of possessing a dangerous weapon. The man had a metal hatchet/knife, a police report stated. 200 block of North Glendale Avenue: A 41-year-old man was arrested Thursday on suspicion of threatening a peace officer.
