In just its second year of existence, finding a strong core of talent wasn’t the easiest thing for the Glendale Community College women’s golf team. But the Vaqueros did find a nucleus in freshmen Brittney Gonzalez, Alexa Petroski and Cristina Pasquariello, who led the Vaqueros to a fifth-place finish in the Western State Conference this season. Gonzalez saw her season go a bit further, as she reached the Southern California Regionals. Her quest to reach the State Tournament fell short, however, as she carded a 20-over-par 92 on Tuesday at Desert Dunes Golf Club in Desert Hot Springs.
