Edgar Melik-Stepanyan For a women's cross-country program that was described as the best team he had ever compiled, Glendale Community College Coach Eddie Lopez might have been a little disappointed. The Vaqueros finished in second in the Western State Conference and ended its 2002 season in the California Community College State Cross-Country Championship. Paced by freshman Pilar Delgado's sixth-place finishing time of 18 minutes 49 seconds, GCC finished in eighth place with an overall time of 101:32 on the 3.1-mile course at Woodward Park in Fresno.
